Shigeru Ban
From Temporary Housing to Art Museums
In commemoration of OPAM’s 5th anniversary, the museum will run an exhibition featuring the works of Shigeru Ban, a Pritzker Architecture Prize recipient who is the architect of this museum. The exhibition will piece together Ban’s numerous works of architectures including public buildings, houses, as well as disaster relief projects. Let’s take the opportunity to savor the design concept ‘an art museum that acts as Engawa ( veranda ) opening to the city’ at first hand.
