Generally, the museum does not have any regular dates of closure
(excluding special circumstances such as museum inspections).

※Prices shown in the brackets ( ) indicate costs for members of groups of 20 people or more paying visitors.
※Admission free for under junior high school students.
※Free entry for high school students on Saturdays.
※Admission free for elementary, junior high, and high school students within the prefecture (or equivalent) and their supervisors, who are using the museum to carry out educational activities in accordance to their curriculums.
※Admission free for person with disabilities and one person accompanying them.
※Special exhibitions will have a separate admission fee.

Open: 24 hours
Cost: Free for the first 30 minutes
30 minutes to 1 hour: ¥200
Over 1 hour: ¥100 yen per 30 minutes.
From the hours of 23:00 – 8:00, the upper limit is ¥900.
■Underground Parking (107 spaces)
Open: 8:00-23:00 (vehicles cannot enter or exit the parking lot when it is not open)
Cost: Same as Outdoor Parking
Via JR
Get off at Oita Station.
(By Bus) From bus platform 7 in front of the station, take Bus Oita-CANBUS to "Oashisuhiroba-mae" bus stop.
(By Walk) 15 minute walk From Funai-tyuoguchi(North Exit).
Via Car
10 minutes from Oita IC.
・Animals and pets are not allowed on, or inside, the museum, except for service animals.
・Umbrellas or parasols should be left in the umbrella stands before entering the museum.
・Large bags should be stored in the lockers.
・Food and drinks are permitted only in the cafés and may not be carried into the galleries or other areas.
・Smoking is not permitted in the museum areas.
・There are no trash cans in the museum. Please take your trash home with you.
・Wheelchairs and baby strollers, are available at the Information desk on the first floor.
・Do not touch the exhibits or display cases.
・No photography or video recording inside the gallery are allowed, unless indicated otherwise.
・Only pencils may be used in the galleries, the use of pens and markers is prohibited.
・Talking on cellular phones is not permitted in the galleries.
・Dangerous items are strictly prohibited inside the museum.
・Security cameras are installed due to security reasons.
・Please follow the instructions given by the staff.
